Free Commission FAQ
Please Read This Entire FAQ if you are interested in a card featured in an upcoming Free Commission.
........................................
What exactly is a Free Commission?
Since I do not currently sell my work; finished pieces or custom commissions, I wanted find a way to provide some of my work to you. This will be done by me choosing a card I want to work on, announcing it on my social media platforms & using a first come, first serve basis on who gets to "claim" that free commission. I will send out an email an hour before I drop the commission. If you would like to get notified by email you can do so on the home page.
Will the Commission actually be free?
Technically yes, I will be completing the work for free. However, you will need to supply the cards & cover shipping for the finished piece. Since you will be providing the cards this will allow me to complete the work for free. Once, the commission has been completed I will send you an invoice to cover the cost of shipping.
What card will be chosen & how many will need to be supplied?
Any time a free commission is offered I will post what the card is and where you can inquire about it on all of my social media platforms. On the Home Page there will also be a link to the featured card with a contact form for you to send. The link will contain all of the information needed about how many cards, the timeline, and the featured card. On average I use 6-8 cards
When and where are the cards sent?
The cards will need to be shipped to my P.O. Box. Since the card will be randomly chosen by me I completely understand if you do not have 6-8 cards on hand. So one of two things will need to happen once you have been chosen. If you do have the amount of cards needed on hand you will need provide tracking information of shipping the cards within 48 hrs. If you need to purchase the cards you will need to send proof that you have purchased the cards within 48hrs. If you are unable to do this I will skip you and move onto the next person after the 48hrs has expired. ONLY REAL CARDS WILL BE ACCEPTED, I DO NOT WORK WITH PROXIES.
Can the card be changed?
Unfortunately since I will be doing the commission for free I am currently only offering to work on the card that is stated during each drop. I will only be choosing cards I have not previously worked on & the card offered cannot be changed if you have been chosen.
When will the drops for the commissions happen?
To make it completely fair for everyone involved I will not preannounce the drops. They will be random and I will be offering these during moments of the year where I have free time to work on them. I am shooting to drop once a month. However, life happens and I cannot guarantee the frequency at which they will drop. I will announce when one has dropped on all of my social media platforms. They will always drop on my website and there will be a direct link to the card featured at the top of the website.
How do we know if a card is currently up for grabs?
Anytime there is a card being offered I will announce it on my socials plus there will be a link featured on the home page of the website including a feature at the bottom of this page. If you DO NOT see a link on the homepage or at the bottom of this page there is currently no card featured!
How long does the process take?
Depending on how long it takes for you to supply the cards depends on the length of time. Once I have the cards in my possession the goal is to have the the card completed and shipped out within 2 to 4 weeks.
I ask that everyone is patient with me during this process. This is a new thing I am offering & I am sure there will be some hiccups along the way. I will answer the contact forms in the order I receive them. I will not be able to respond to every single contact form once the person has been chosen. So if you do not receive a response from me you were not chosen but I do encourage you to try again in the future. I appreciate the support so very much and will be forever grateful for you all. Please just remember I am one person. 3Devious Art is just me. There is no team behind the scenes so please I ask for your patience.
Thank you
